We have a great opportunity for someone to join our expanding bakery, Carraig Rua Bakery, in beautiful Carrick on Shannon, Co Leitrim with accommodation available.

Experienced Bread Baker wanted for night-time baking

We have a great opportunity for someone to join our expanding bakery, Carraig Rua Bakery, in beautiful Carrick on Shannon, Co Leitrim with accommodation available.

Reporting to our Head Baker this is an experienced bread baker position and a great opportunity as we expand and grow our bread range.

The right person will have and strong working experience of naturally fermented sourdough bread and a keen interest in additive free natural ingredients.

This role will continue to be well rewarded as we grow. We have a generous team profit share (following successful probation).

The role will involve:

  • Responsibility for all daily production, scaling, mixing, shaping, and baking of all our bread and dough pastries.
  • Maintaining a clean, tidy, organised workspace.
  • Contribution to recipe and product development

The right person should have:

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in a bakery setting
  • Knowledge of natural fermentation and sourdough bread baking
  • A passion for great food with additive free natural ingredients
  • An ability to work well with colleagues.
  • Basic English or German (Head baker is German)

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent:

€17.50 /hr

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shifts
  • Two days off per week
  • 35 hours minimum
  • Night-time baking

Experience:

  • Working with naturally fermented doughs (sourdough): 1 years (required)
  • Bread Baking: 1 years (required)

Language:

  • Basic English or German (our head baker is German )

Work authorisation:

  • Ireland (required)

Work Location: In person

Expected start date: ASAP
